Happy Saturday lovelies, hope the weekend has been great so far. I was brainstorming about what to post about today and I thought of the perfect topic- traveling. Specifically, some of my favorite vacation spots. I grew up a military brat so I have lived/traveled all over the world. Between that and me being a Sagittarius, traveling is in my blood. I get the itch every few months and have to venture out town, even if it’s just for the weekend. Sometimes a quick weekend trip is all I need to rejuvenate myself which is crucial for us working mommas.
It’s really hard to choose just a few of my favorites, but here are some of my favorite vacay spots…
Santa Barbara-Solvang, CA
-I will always have a soft spot for Santa Barbara in my heart. That is where is my now husband proposed to me while we were on vacation in the cutest town ever, Solvang. It’s an adorable little Danish town in the middle of wine country which excited me cause of my Danish background. There was lots of wine drinking and laughing and it was perfect <3
-What is there really else to say other than it’s frikin Miami! lol. My bestest and i live on opposite sides of the country and we did a girls trip here before I got married. Me and my girls Jesica and Danielle beached it up, ate amazing food (seriously Cuban food is amazing guys, you have to try it one day!) and partied. It was my unofficial bachelorette party.
-San Diego is sooo beautiful. We live only 2 and a half hours away yet I’ve only been once! So sad. My husband and I did the whole romantic bed and breakfast thing and walked around Balboa Park. The weather was so beautiful and the scenery is to die for. There is no one more fun to hang out and bar hop with than my husband because we just sat back and drank and people watched one night and it was a blast.
-Vegas is a no brainer for me. It’s where Joe and I got married and where we have taken a handful of trips to since moving just 3 hours away. I can only do 2 nights here, any more than that and I’m just over it. It’s such a fun and intense city, if that makes any sense. It’s totally normal to not even head out to dinner until 11 pm (just like Miami) and stay out until the sun comes up. There is so much more to do out there than what people think. We don’t even gamble when we go (I can’t bear to throw away money like that) and we mostly walk around the strip, pop in and out of casinos to get a drink, eat amazing food, and people watch (can you tell yet that that’s a favorite hobby of mine?). And if you have money to spend, there is no better shopping than here.
That’s it for now. I’m sure there’ll be a part 2 one day 🙂 Make the rest of the weekend a great one!
